Wells Fargo Creates branded environment inside namesake stadium
BlueWater assists with customer engagement

What would you do with a highly visible piece of stadium-concourse real estate? How about constructing a 23’ tall tower, wrapping it with LCDs, and creating an interactive custom video game at the base of it?

Looking to create an out-of-the-box experience designed to make banking fun,Wells Fargo engaged the In-Store Solutions team at BlueWater Technologies, along with experiential marketing firm Euro RSCG 4D, to bring to life its sponsorship space inside the Wells Center Stadium in Philadelphia.

Working closely with the corporate branding and corporate sponsorship divisions at Wells Fargo, we transformed the empty space into a fun and engaging area that will long promote Wells Fargo throughout the region. This project, part of a series of one-off installations across the nation, is intended to help establish brand recognition for Wells Fargo in areas where the Wachovia brand was dominant. Wachovia was acquired by Wells Fargo in December of 2008.

Euro RSCG 4D developed Stagecoach Adventure, a branded videogame at the base of the multimedia tower that will draw in consumers and provide a positive Wells Fargo brand experience for all ages.

Gameplay of Stagecoach Adventure allows teams of two players to make their way through a past, present or future world while in control of the Wells Fargo Stagecoach. One player uses leather reigns to steer the stagecoach through each level while avoiding obstacles such as hay barrels, cars or spaceships. The other player uses a joystick to control a lasso that is used to collect food and bags of money – earning the players points and hopefully a spot on the scoreboard.

BlueWater Technologies’ In-Store team was charged with bringing the Wells Fargo space to life. Our team of experts conceptualized spatial layouts for the sponsorship area, also overseeing engineering and fabrication of environmental elements, along and with providing all the required technology.

The design selected required fabrication of everything from new flooring, aluminum composite paneling for the walls, branded column wraps, and a custom ATM wrap to the creation of a 23’ tall centerpiece tower. BlueWater Technologies deployed the following technology: Sharp 42”, 52” and 60” LCDs, custom media players for content playback, a custom media server, an Extron matrix switcher, and all required cabling.

Working closely with a partner on the fabrication and installation of the environmental elements, and with Euro RSCG 4D to incorporate gaming mechanisms, the BlueWater Technologies team oversaw the transformation of previously empty real estate into a highly trafficked and interactive brand experience.
